Tafraoute Trek
Anti-Atlas Hiking Adventure | Forestours Adventure
Trek description
Tafraoute trek is a middle-difficulty trek through Morocco’s Anti-Atlas region, combining dry valleys, lush oases, rugged canyons, pink granite peaks, and deep Berber culture. You move from more cultivated, green surroundings into increasingly wild, rocky, dramatic landscapes, ending in the striking town of Tafraoute surrounded by pink granite rocks.
The pace is moderate: daily walks of ~5‑7 hours, traversing cols (mountain passes), crossing oueds (dry riverbeds or seasonal rivers), and camping or staying in simple guesthouses / bivouacs.
